Bruce Thompson, CEO, Impact Communications
brucethompson.jpgAs CEO of Impact Communications, Bruce encourages this entrepreneurial thinking within the entire Impact team – both strategically and creatively – so that everything they do is imbued with energy, and focused on results. Bruce's supportive and motivating leadership style was honored when he was named one of Canada's top bosses, and number 1 in Nova Scotia, in Monster.ca's 2005 Best Bosses Competition.

Bruce is a member of the First Angel Network, and is on the Board of Directors of MaManna Renewable Energy Inc. Bruce is also a member of the Advisory Council of NovaKnowledge. Bruce has collaborated with an impressive list of organizations, including Nova Scotia Community College, Immunovaccine Technologies, Clearwater Fine Foods, Nova Scotia Business Inc., Oxford Frozen Foods, Southwest Properties, and Great Canadian Gaming Corporation. Bruce has led Impact’s involvement with numerous charitable causes, including the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Easter Seals Canada, Action Atlantic, and the Tema Conter Memorial Trust. Bruce is also past President and Board member of the Scotia Chapter of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a team of volunteers pursuing research funding and awareness for this devastating disease.

Bruce is a proud parent of daughter Mary Beth, and son Joshua. Outside of the office, Bruce is an avid musician and composer, playing drums in various bands, including The Fourth Wall and Thumb of God, for the past 20 years.
